WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS STAYS IN VEGAS

As they say, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas - but what if we could share with full discretion and glimpse into the hidden lives of the people around you?

This was Candy Chang's starting point of her public art project 'Confessions'. Candy lived in Las Vegas for a month and turned her gallery into a contemplative place for people to share their secrets anonymously  but openly. Over 1500 confessions were collected about sex, love, fear and dying alone and I love the idea that this exhibition was a way for members of society to help realise that they are not alone with problems that they face and there's other people with similar 'quirks'.

Yep, unbelievably deep and maybe a little bit gay?!.... But even so, I genuinely think the exhibition is beaut.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD

Images - Vogue
This is the Autumn/Winter 2013-14 collection by Alexander Wang.

- Interesting cuts, leather trimmings, a-symmetric zips, panelling, monochrome colours, men's tailoring, chunky knitwear -

I genuinely think this couldn't be any more my style.

Now, I fully understand that right now I don't go anywhere remotely sophisticated enough to wear any of this. However, when it becomes that time in my life where I am no longer clinging to the corner of Stealth with a distant yet excited look in my eyes (we've all been there) and wearing only items I can afford with a very low student budget, my wardrobe will look something like this. For now though, on the high street, Zara are absolutely nailing it! They're offering the likes of me a way to delve into the latest trends in fast fashion without having to take out an interesting sized bank loan.

Monday Musings

These fresh, beautiful photographs are part of the new look book for Planet Blue - a brand that stay true to the sunny spirit of California. This is some of the sleekest, well groomed styling I have ever seen PB launch, as they normally tend to go for a more folk, fringed look. Now it's just time to move to L.A, adopt the care-free lifestyle and immerse myself in all of these gorgeous items!

Just for Jokes

Been RIDICULOUSLY busy these last few days so thought I'd leave you with this hilarious video interview of Danny Dyer to watch, until the end of my weekend when I can come back to feed you all some more pointless waffle.

Style File: Cara Delvigne

Cara Delvigne is every girls number one style crush of today! Her signature style of daytime vest and tshirts, grunge and plenty of unreal accessories make her an absolute icon!

So with her iconic hat collection, she inspired my next moodboard: The search for the perfect beanie...

Pray For Paris

Procrastinating is my forte, however I can’t deem it completely useless when I discover a brand I adore, yet have never spotted before!
Pray for Paris is a very new brand which started up in 2011. It was created by the need for an affordable high street alternative which is trend driven, yet original.
With the grunge and alternative trend being more prevalent than ever, this brand is certainly one to watch.
Now it’s just time to add all of my hand-picked items above to be added to my Christmas list, and with an offer for free jewellery alongside my adoration, it seems like a done deal.

StOcKy HeElS?!

I'm genuinely struggling to form an opinion on the 'Stocky Heel' trend that is adorning the catwalks.

So, we all know kitten heels are an absolute no-go, but fashion houses, and the high street, are bringing us an adaptation of this sin... and they come in all forms...rounded toes, loafers, brogues etc.

What do you think?

Come Fly With Me

T by Alexander Wang Knit Hoody
DVF Passport Case
Topshop Fishnet Triangle Bra
Superga Platform Plimsole
Topshop Boutique Silk Joggers
Celine Sunglasses
Mulberry Travel Bag

So today I visited East Midlands Airport as I was doing some research for uni on Ryanair and their consumers. It gave me the inspiration to create a dream travel outfit. With me and the girls currently organising a trip to Morrocco and the uni trip to Tokyo (!!!!!!) in February, maybe it's about time I add some of these essential travel items to my wish list?

Spot the Trend

Now I'm an absolute lover of intimates, although not owning enough treasures, and the spotty dots trend that seems to have emmerced the catwalks is right up my street.

HiT tHe NaiL oN tHe HeAd

For the past few seasons, nail art has really grown with everything from neon polish to tie dye (american apparel's new craze)...

But Thiery Mugler, as always, has gone that one step further with the help of catwalk manicurist Marion Newman.

I introduce to you the most dangerous, rebellious nails on the runway!

With an expensive price tag of £40 per nail, i'm definitely unable to afford these works of art..... however, absolutely considering using a couple as accent nails. Love them!

What is your Dynasty?

The empire of fashion has been fragmented into hundreds of competing looks, and these are what Ted Polhemus would call...

'The Style Tribes'

I began to get really interested in which designer would fall into which category.
Here's my top 5:

1) Comme des Garcons

Artistic Avant Garde

2) Alexander Mcqueen

The Rebels

3) Jil Sander

The Modernists

4) Tom Ford for Gucci

The Sex Machines

5) John Galliano

The Romantics

It is not a case of socioeconomic status or age, however instead each person within each style tribe is decided by their own nature of lifestyle and the values that the individuals hold.
